A LEGEND IN THE MAKING |

Datuk Sheila Majid is set to thrill her fans once more with an anniversary concert underway.
This year marks Sheila’s 25 years in show business and she is gearing up for an anniversary concert on November 27 at Stadium Negara. It also marks the date of her Lagenda concert, her first performance at what is now a heritage site. Sheila has taken every encounter gracefully and come out even stronger and more determined than before.
QUEEN OF HEARTS
“I welcome constructive feedback. If you don’t like something I’ve said, tell me why and help me see how I could have worded it differently. Where my children are concerned, I always say to them, ‘however bad it is, just tell me what’s wrong. Nothing can be so bad that it can’t be fixed’.”
GROWING UP HAPPY
“My father always encouraged us to speak our minds, but respectfully of course, and to love what we choose to do. I’ve been very blessed to have my children and a wonderful husband,” she says of popular musician, Acis. “I’m at a point in my life where I’ve never been happier. We live a life like everyone else,” she says.
LETTING GO
“You know, I’m a real softy when it comes to my children. I am guilty of giving in – but at the same time, I make them aware of what others have to do without, and teach them to value what they have,” she shares.
A SILVER LINING
The conversation veers back to Sheila’s 25 years in show business and her plans moving forward. The fans get most of the credit for her career longevity, and she states that they’re the ones who have built her profession. It doesn’t take a soothsayer to predict that her concerts will play to full houses everywhere she performs. “God is great,” she humbly acknowledges, “I have wonderful fans and amazing support, but at the end of it all, He wills it and I am aware always of this.”
