“It’s expensive.” Says who? A standard will
costs around RM1000 only. A small price to pay
for peace of mind and the knowledge that not
only are your heirs taken care of, there won’t be
any family-wrecking disputes.
“The law will take care of these things.” Yes,
but what a long drawn-out process it will be. All your assets, except for your EPF savings and insurance, will be frozen and your heirs will have to jump over
a few hoops to get the rest of your assets.
“I don’t know how to do it.” That’s what the
experts are for. And while you could do it yourself,
it’s best to consult an expert because any errors
in your will render it invalid.
